Postby lbhansford » Sun Nov 17, 2013 7:40 am

I know we've had alot of talk about start date lately.... so how was everyone's opener? Were birds still around or clear out with the full moon. I opted for deer hunt due to temp and wind. Limit(2 does ) with the bow by 745am. Hope yall shotem up. Heading out Monday

Alot of mallards roosted on our marsh friday night. I would say over 100 that we could see setting around when it got light. Thats about 98 more than we see on opening day most years. And many geese. We got the deks up at 9 am and came home with a nice catch of reds and spec's to 22".

Typical for a bluebird day. Some ducks and what we saw flew high as crap. Managed a couple geese.

Big Old goose egg, but we passed up a few hens pitched in and swimming in the deeks for a couple minutes thinking a few drakes would come in shortly

Handful of geese, a few greenheads, and a couple gadwalls for us. Too foggy, too warm, too early.
