Who is attending the DUGOF in Dinwiddie/Petersburg?

If you are going, please be sure to stop by the VAWFA booth.

I went on Friday to the show. I was disappointed in the amount of merchandise available to buy. But had a great time trying the newest guns. The Benelli SBE 2 is the BOMB!!!! Knocked those clay birds into dust!

I was disappointed in the amount of merchandise available to buy.

Last year, there were more vendors. However the weather last year sent many outdoor vendors home on the second day.

I did find a great deal on shirts. Casual & Hunting polo shirts for $10. I believe Primedia charges vendors too much for booths.

I was told some vendor barely made enough money to pay for the booths. Lets remembers, vendors had to be set up on Thursday. So if a vendor doesn't make enough money to pay for the booth and still has travel expenses/hotel/motel bills & meals. Why would they want to go to the DUGOF if they are going to go in the hole?

Drake waterfowl had some deals on waders and jackets. I am probably going to kick myself for not picking up the jacket come December.

I agree with the keeping overhead and costs low, but the bigger companies have a huge operating budget which allows them to hit one place and miss another. If there are only a couple DUGOF in the nation each year, you think there would have been a better group of vendors.

If the site charges so much, then I would recommend moving it. Competition never hurt anyone and it certainly would not hurt in regards to venue area.
