If you are going to fish the potholes area for walleye just remember to have fun first and enjoy the arae. The fish in july can be picky at times. I have had my best days when fishing a rise in pressure and slow trolling the drops in 10-15 ft of water. I use just a two hook crawler blade bate in green or orange and also glow. When it starts to get dark or early mornings rapalas in the fat rap or floating rainbow or gold 3" floating on a 1oz bait walker and 36" leader. Trout can be goood durring that time in the eary mornings on just about anything trolled on top. Try Mardon resorts sight for some great info on the lake and good luck
