2013-14 Layout Flotilla

Postby bknilvr00 » Fri Oct 18, 2013 10:10 am

Okay so I've been mulling it over in my head and I decided that I want to try and organize a DHC layout hunt. I dont remember if it happened last year or not. How many people would be interested in trying to get together to do it?

Yeah I should have specified. My bad. Marsh rats, aquapods, and anything in between.

Make it in December or January and I'm in. Might have a spare too?

I figure later in the year would be better. Birds will be on the move by then plus it gives us a while to plan. Assuming this generates enough interest.

Late January hits me as a good time for some reason. If I can make it I am in.

Would be happy to get in on this one too.

Might think about Big D when the sheet water starts freezing this year.

Alright gents, the general consensus seems to be that a late season hunt is best. I'm inclined to agree. So I figure we hunt January sometime. Probably the second weekend? Will that work for everyone? I was thinking that if need be, we could figure out who all is going, pick an area, then make groups of three or so. That way everyone gets the opportunity to shoot and we don't have to worry about crowding one shootin hole. Yay? Nay? Give me your opinions and ideas so we can get this thing planned out.

You could put out one giant decoy spread with the marsh boats in the middle and run it like they do the Potholes shoot. Either way it will be a lot of fun for the guys who can make it.

I think Skagit HQ was going to be the location. I'm not opposed to going to east, or having one earlier for that matter!
