Howdy all,
I am new to the site and figured I would take a minute to introduce myself.
I am 24 years old, been duck hunting for the last 8 or 9 years.
I am stationed at Yakima Training Center as an Instructor in the Army.
Fairly new to the Yakima area, found the site reaching out for some resources (not honey holes lol).
This will be my first year duck hunting over here. The last have been from Everett to Bellingham but mainly Skagit.
I'm not joining to try and find GPS coordinates to your blinds like some of these dbags I see. I know what its like to have scouted, built, and invested years into a spot of your own, and I can't think of many things more rewarding. Even if it doesn't produce duck limits every hunt, it is your place, it is your home. I am extremely passionate about duck hunting and conservation alike. What I hope to get from this site is maybe meet some locals who share the obsession and help share knowledge and experience with others. I am a pretty simple minded hunter who likes the basics. Gear: Waders, dozens of decoys (all floaters), misc. cheap calls, Remington 870 Express (old, been thru hell, and still shooting), 14" Kayak, tons of cold weather gear. Dog is going to be purchased as a pup in the next month, and be trained for next year.
No better way to start your morning than cupped ducks and Copenhagen.

Welcome to the site and good luck this season. The weather is starting to cool off and the hunting should be getting better and better in the weeks to come!

:welcome: Nice Intro. Covered all your bases.

Smart move on the dog!

A 14 inch kayak seems a touch small though! :grooving:

Welcome to the addiction.

Thank you all for the hospitality! Seems like a great place. Haha whoops that'd be a 14' kayak not a 14" kayak. The weather is cooling off very nicely here. We are dropping in to the 20's most nights. Only problem is Alaska and Western Canada aren't getting the bad weather they need for the big push. Looks like a good cold front is rolling in this coming week though. A little late on the scouting in my new area but I am excited to go check out some new holes this weekend I have been researching.
