A good couple of days

Postby skagitduckwacker » Fri Nov 15, 2013 3:33 pm

Yesterday I took one shot and killed one duck. Maybe the most expensive shot this season. After years of being the bridesmaid and never the bride I finally got my Eurasian wigeon drake. Already notified the taxi. Today was nothing short of special. 2 hours from getting out of the rig to getting back in. 4 mallard, 2 sprig, and a wigeon.

For some reason linux doesn't seem to want to load pics on this forum. I took pics and gave it a try when I started this thread but it just wouldn't load. Probably something really stupid that I am doing wrong.

See if this helps you guys post pictures.

First off, DHC requires that the pic be under 1 mb so you need a way to resize your pic as most cameras take 3 MP or larger. A good way to do it is with a software program such as Paint.net (free) or a link to a photo editing site and storage such as Photobucket (free).
After you have either resized your photo to under 1 mb and saved the resize to your file you click the post reply on DHC, click on the 'upload attachment' option at the bottom, click on the 'browse file', select the resized pic file from your computer and 'open', click on 'add the file', and after it downloads the file to the area on the bottom of the post, you position your cursor where you want the pic to go and click on 'place inline'. The pic will be positioned properly after you "submit" your post.

If you are using photobucket, you upload your pic to photbucket, left click on the "image" box which then 'copied' the file, go to the post reply area in DHC thread and position your cursor at where you want your pic to go, then right click and the pic will download and then you "submit" your post.

My taxi says he thinks I should have it done the same way he did a regular wigeon drake a couple of years ago. That way I can show them flying together. I will post a pic when I get it back.

I think what he is asking is wheres the eurasian because the one in the picture looks like a north american not a eurasian.

I know what he is asking for. It was too dark Thursday night to take a pic. The eurasian is in a nylon stocking in the freeze. No pic until the taxi gets it back to me. I am in line behind Cougar's 3 pet shellducks.

You took it to Matt? So you're the person who shot the Euro he has. Right on. I'll be seeing it soon then since I'm always over at his place. I'll post a pic when he starts working it.

Yeah, he has done all my birds (5 so far, 6 counting the euro) since I got up here. He was also my son's Boy Scout leader. Good guy, good artist.

They all should be in the position of when they drop straight down out of low orbit. That is always a riot to watch.

I have no idea. I found it on a google search waiting in line at a refuge.
