Found puppy has a new home now.

Postby quackwhacker1 » Mon Nov 18, 2013 12:00 am

I posted a couple weeks ago about a black lab pup that wondered onto a friend's property. They have tried everything to find the owner with no luck. They are not able to keep the dog as they have a few already. He is about 5-6 months old and black. He is very friendly and has some training. He had a hunting collar on and was near the potholes.

If anyone is interested in taking this puppy into their home, please let me know and I will put you in touch with my friend. Text me at 509-431-7305

That's a head scratcher how someone could lose a good looking pup like that and not go looking for him/her on the Internet.

We probably won't be so lucky but could the pup be from Tri-Cities Waterfowlers?

Pasted post below:

A friend of mine took his 10 month old lab out for his first duck hunt in Burbank this morning. When the first gunshot went off the dog took off in the direction of the town of Burbank and they were not able to call him back to them. They spent the rest of the morning looking for him but were unable to find him. He wasn't wearing his ID collar but was wearing a camo neoprene vest. His name is Duke. If anyone sees a dog matching that description out there, please let me know. My friend feels awful for not having the leash on the dog at the time they shot. Reward of $100 for the finding party. Thanks.

I don't think that is the one unless he ran a LONG ways. The OP said he was found at the Potholes so I don't think it is the same dog. Either way, what a tough deal to lose a pup!

Yeah I'm hoping the pup finds its original home or a good new one. If I could convince the wife into adopting another without her fileting me....

Sorry I haven't replied in a few days. Been deer hunting. We have not found the owner of the puppy yet. The gal that has him has tried everything and he is not chipped. She has found a home for him. The new owners will gladly give the dog back to the original owner if they ever pop up. Thanks.
