Had a good day. Shot my first limit of year and out of 9 birds total, we killed 6 diff species. One bird is widgeon pictured. Is it a Eurasion not fully plumed, a storm, or something else. Regardless it is a cool bird and my best shot of rhe day. Give me your thoughts of what kind of Widgeon pls.

That bird is almost completely plummed out. Wall hanger for sure.

I'm pretty sure that is a dead widgeon! :sarcmark:

Nice looking bird but I'm definitely not the Widgeon guy here. H20fowler can probably tell you what type it is. I just think it's a nice one and would consider sending it in for mounting if it's not too tore up.

I'm guessing a hybrid maybe. American X Euro.

I shot him 30 yds straight above me and I think the full pattern of my Hevi Metal #2s hit him. He dropped straight down my buddys back and bounced. I have been dreaming of killing a nice Euro for the wall but I have seen nicer ones killed than this one plus he was pretty beat up. Meat piled him with greenheads and teal we killed. Thanks for the input fellas
