They are fantastic for cleaning your shotgun afterwards. Gun oil can be brushed lightly into the magazine, ejector, trigger mechanisms, bolt, etc. Dirt can be brushed away that resides on the ventilated rib and stocks in the engraving. I've never thrown them away ....... and after this morning's hunt, I dropped my SBE into the mud accidentally. Got home and used an old toothbrush to brush dirt away and cleaned the gun thoroughly, adding gun oil.

Love using the toothbrush. I also use qtips especially in the chamber. Keeps my Browning Gold from gumming up and feeding rounds without malfunctions. Great tip!
