Did I miss it?

Postby ShaqDiesel » Tue Dec 03, 2013 9:21 pm

So now that I am married and all that jazz I don't get out to the blind as much as I would like so I don't have as good of an idea of what the birds are doing, but am I missing something? Some people I have talked to say the birds have already come through and left and others are saying they are late, what are your guys thoughts? I don't think they have really showed up yet because of the lack of weather? Just wondering.

Thats what I was thinking because I check reports daily and watch migration maps and with so many mild days I keep thinking there is no way they had left canada yet, however I have a feeling this weekend will be awesome if you find the open water.

I'm not sure what's going on weather wise on your side of the mountains, but over here you would be correct. It should be awesome duck hunting weather!

I would say they are late. It has been a slow trickle of birds coming down. When I hunted this Monday, there were large flocks of birds coming in. I think that Sunday windstorm may have helped. It was a fun Monday morning shoot.

They are late for sure. The Buffy's have just started to show up in the last week or two in the areas I hunt. That is usually my first clue the birds are moving down. This freezing weather should be good for the saltwater hunters like myself.

Moses Lake saw lots and heard lots of shooting Sunday morning in the warm fog. Saw very little yesterday and today. Hoping it picks back up. This morning was one flight of shooting from the 2 of the 3 groups that were out in our area and then silence till I left @ 09:00.
