Wet side ducks

Looks like one needs to look for open running fresh water. As a lot of the still ponds will be frozen over. Think River

Think warm fire and hot coco!
Life is too short to hunt with an ugly dog.

Think wet dog smell, shivering with excitement and steaming next to you. Think new push of birds and good flights moving all morning. Then think warm couch, a good book, and hot coco after. Bella and I have an appointment with some ducks this weekend. I found a new spot where I can walk 150 yards from the truck, shoot puddlers and divers, and have a heater going full blast without bothering the ducks. It even has a lovely fallen log with an overhanging tree as a natural blind. We are going down to hunt it on Saturday morning and see if we can knock out a quick limit.

Yes hopefully a new push of birds. Have seen very few northerns this year. And the locals are wising up like normal.
