back on the birds

Postby duckdogger07 » Wed Dec 11, 2013 2:51 am

well on Sunday i filled my elk tag on a nice Roosevelt cow. My cousin and i were spot and stalking through some big timber as we worked up a ridge we stopped to eat some lunch after eating i split from him and worked my way down a river bottom where i find this nice lookin cow who gave me a beautiful 55 yard shot perfectly quartering away. She ran 35 yards and piled up. So now time to get back on the birds.

Nice kill man! Its a dream of mine to shoot an elk one day! Bull or cow! Both are trophies in my book!

Nice job! I have been trying to balance late archery deer with the birds as well. Ducks are starting to get good so you picked a perfect time!

Nice job on the cow! Crazy how quick a sharp broadhead can put one of those things down.
