Sage absolutely loves to retrieve and I just added a new chocolate lab Buster to the family as well. He has a ways to go before he actually goes out hunting. Anyone with ideas on a lab that gets so excited he just wont stop barking. I've pinched his mouth shut but as soon as you let go he barks until you throw the bird.

Bark collar. Buster is an 8 month old wrecking ball of excitement and drive. His old family did no one any favors by not training him.

I have always passed up mergansers. What are they like for to eat?

I gave one merganser away and the other I froze for dog training.
