So starting last year I wanted to get a duck mount each year. I got my 1st Harli this year but unfortunately it wasn't fully mature so I don't want to mount it. I got a Surf Scoter and White Wing Scoter in the freezer that I have been contemplating on getting one of them mounted. I wanted to see what peoples opinions on which one they would get done or if I should just skip this year and get a couple done up next year. I feel the WW Scoter is to plain looking but I do like the look of the Surf Scoter.

It is something you would have to look at, so do you want to look at a scoter or something else. I have all three mounted and I am always asked what they are. Most people never have seen them. They recognize common puddle ducks, so a new species is of interest. Mount them all, just money! The way the president keeps printing it and handing if out, it may not be worth much in years to come.

Next year go get a Common Scoter and do a Scoter slam mount.
There are no ducks in the desert!

I would get them both mounted and add a common next year. I have a surf I shot this year that is going to the Taxi soon. I think they are a really cool looking bird.
