New to the State - Looking to get back into the blind

Postby GreenHeadGuerilla » Thu Jan 30, 2014 3:51 pm

Greetings! I just relocated to the Vancouver area after spending three years in the high desert of California. I am originally from IA and grew up hunting teal and mallards on farm ponds. Looking to get back into the sport and excited to hunt the pacific flyway. Im thinking that joining/volunteering for the local DU chapter would be a good way to meet other like minded folks? Any advice on the area, places to check out, places to avoid, groups to join, etc would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Washington waterfowl association has a great chapter in vancouver. There's a lot of good hunting within an hour to hour&1/2 of you. Keep checking this forum and use the search funcion and you will get a lot of information.

I would join wwa they work with the state to provide more land and birds, they even help to put on hunts for youth, disabled and special no cost guided hunts for veterans. Im not 100% on everything they do... but it's a lot as I have read into it a little bit. Du is just interested in your money to support their private clubs. It's one of the greatest legal scams of all time.

Those words that confuse you are the incoherent ramblings of skagit. That for sure is him. We will have to see how long he is able to last this time.
