Spring Snow Goose MO

Postby h2ofowlr » Fri Jan 31, 2014 10:10 am

I am finalizing plans for our spring snow goose shoot in MO for March 13-15th. The guide seems to like to put guys on a tentative schedule and give those a call when the birds are in. Unfortunately with airfare and all, it may not work that well for the group, so we are going to go for it or bust.
Pulled the plug from the shotgun, purchased a mag extension and have it ready for some fun if the stars align correctly. I keep watching the news and see all this crazy weather they are getting back east, so we will see.

Anyone else planning on chasing snows in the next 6 weeks?

Always dreaming about it. This may not be my year but next year is looking up.
Life is too short to hunt with an ugly dog.

Was hoping to hit Canada but the trip fell through, par for my season though. Good luck and post the aftermath pictures!

Btw, who you end up going with H2O?

SD Free lodging, Free food, Free shells. Free everything. When you go to places everyone else doesn't things are better. Cost gas to get there. Lunch severed in field with shell refill

My hunting partner moved there ten years ago. And is in with the local farmers.

The date shifted to March 6 & 7th.
It was than cancelled by the guide as the storm came in and hit. No birds in the area. Due to my schedule I was not able to shift the dates around. A few of my buddies that live in Missouri ended up going last week and were skunked the first day and shot 17 birds on the second day. It doesn't sound like I missed to much. Your either in them or not. I may have to look into getting in on a trip with Tony Vandemoor next season.
