Finally getting some good weather!

After the season! The weather missed the west side this season for the most part. Wind, rain, snow, etc. Still doesn't compare to the la Nina / el NiƱo's seasons that we were able to experience a few years back. Here's to strong winds for next year.

I ran out to check on the spots I hunt over the nasty weekend. I would rather have a few days of hard snow and ice on the days I can hunt then good weather. There were thousands of ducks and geese all pulled up and sitting on the Big C, everywhere I went.

No kidding. My buddy and I have gone out to our usual spots a few times over the last few weeks. Ducks have been thicker out there this last month than we saw all season. :fingerhead:

These back to back wind storms have sure pushed the birds inland. I was able to watch several fields that had birds just dropping into them. There are a lot of birds in the area right now. Don't know where they all held up all season, but there are here now. Saw a NA at the gun shop last week picking up a case of ammo. He said his season was just starting. Not sure how that works out, but he should have a good shoot.

What's a na and what does that mean?

I wish I knew half as much, and shot half as many birds as the guys on DHC claim they do...

Yeah kinda blew that one. Did the Boldt Decision change migratory bird rights? I know it was huge in the salmon world ruling in a 50/50 take rate.

It also sealed the waterfowl, big game. That is why the Nooksacks and Uppers can wipe out the Nooksack heard for their backstraps and hooves. Because they can. only people that can kill elk in GMU 408
