Big game drawing

Postby ohtajj » Fri Jun 06, 2014 5:57 pm

So I checked out of curiosity earlier today, and they all still say draw not run yet, but a couple had the "points used" up. I just checked again and all the points used are there now so I'm guessing the results will be out soon. Anybody expecting to draw anything good tags?

I put my son in for several hunts but I only applied for moose and sheep. I already have a goat which at this point is better than a lotto ticket. I don't expect to get drawn for the moose or sheep but still have my fingers crossed. I hunt out of state for quality mule deer.

I did points this year. With Canada high on my list, I didn't want to draw something to detract it.

Well, looks like the results are up... I missed on everything except an antlerless elk tag for February 1-14. Here's hoping I can put some meat in the freezer. Anyone else draw?

Suck you live in the Moose Mecca and can't pull the tag with 21 pts and some guy from Vancouver will pull it with 5 pts and want your spot!

Not even a 2nd doe tag for my own land with 4 pts....

Done the math, I could most likely pull an Idaho non res moose tag in one year for $2000+. Or apply here for 30 years and not draw for $400 in applications, then $333 to buy the tag. Think I am starting a pot for Idaho

All I was drawn for was moose and sheep. I really wanted that antlerless whitetail tag though :crying:

How do you keep it from spoiling if you get something? I only go in as far as I know that I can get it back out without spoilage. I have seen a few guys in the winston that bike way in. But they travel lite and can get out fairly quickly with bikes.

Just debone the whole thing put the meat in game bags and go. When we hunt we pack light through out the day. There are a few creeks along the way we stop at and cool the meat. But deboned we take an elk in 1 trip. And its straight to the meat locker when we hit the truck.
