New waterfowl regs

Postby getemducks » Sun Jun 29, 2014 6:56 pm

When can we expect the new waterfowl regs to come out? Any rumors of any changes for this year? Also I have made multiple attempts on google to find info but have failed. Where can I find the regulation proposals for this year online? Would you guys like to see any changes be made?

I wish I knew half as much, and shot half as many birds as the guys on DHC claim they do...

The Pacific Flyway meeting has to happen first, to set the framework. Then your state can set there dates etc., based on the framework. This year the committee meets in Provo Utah July 21-24. Then your state will likely take a week or more to make their decision. It works the same way pretty much every season.
You might be able to find some info on the Pacific Flyway Committee's website.

They usually come out in the middle of Sept. I believe.

I guess I'd have to say I'm pretty happy overall with the regs the last few years.

Seems like 7 wood ducks is a bit excessive but if the population can sustain it that works for me.
I would like the chance to kill geese on the river 7 days a week but I have no hope that will change anytime soon.

Looking forward to seeing what we get this year and hoping for no major changes.
