OWF purchases, whadayaget?

Postby QH's Paw » Mon Jun 30, 2014 11:17 am

So, for those of you who went, what did everyone buy and which will have the biggest impact on your hunts coming up?
Due to file size limitations here, I'll have to post mine later, after I put them on photobucket.

Not a dang thing.

Tealer told me he hates customers like me since I don't really need anything except more decoys which I am making myself.

: At the swap meet, I purchased 6 "over-sized" goose floaters, w/ bag, with line & weights ... $80. They look BRAND new, and all the flocking on them intact. Thought that was a pretty good deal.

: Bought 4 used Buffies / 4 Can's from the Swap Meet ... $15 total

: Bought a flocked Blue Bill Decoy Dancer pull string, with bag ... Looks AMAZING! $210

: Purchased from one of the amauters who won in an open contest 4 Life-size Goose Floaters from Cabela's ... $40

And last but not least, scored some SWAG ... Jeff Coats, "Pitboss" 3xl shirt, along with 2 stickers.

All-n-all ... feel pretty good about what I got for the cash I spent. Should be SOLID on floaters for geese now. Goona throw them all on long lines. Now I have the boat, I have a few places I can drop them in on a side for security/confidence decoys.

I ended up with 24 DSD decoys. Sounds like I may be tagging along on the Pitboss hunt they auctioned off. Also scored a handful of tee shirts and hats.

Let me know when you get a chance to float that boat QH, interested to know what you think.

I purchased:

a bow quiver from the archery booth

Basin Calls double reed duck (been using an old Olt and DJ Illinois River wood call for nearly my entire 25 yrs in the field...so buying my first acrylic was a big jump. I have eyed this call for a couple years so I am glad for picking me up one.)

Several losing raffle tickets

and plenty of freebie swag too.

Had a great time!

We haven't got the dates together yet. Hopefully around Christmas time. Did you see the pics of Mikes grandson? Got bit by a dog. That crap pisses me off, glad he is doing well.

I saw that. Poor guy, though he seems to be doing well. Hit me up when you know for sure we will get a hunt in.
