Trapping Pigeons

Postby greatwhite » Tue Jul 29, 2014 6:55 pm

Bringing home a pup soon and trying to locate some pigeons for training (grays harbor). Has anyone had much like trapping them? I am kinda concerned if I leave a trap somewhere, that it will get taken. Maybe I would be better off netting them under an overpass?

If you can find a local dairy or cattle operation, I bet you can get permission to thin out their pigeons pretty easily. If not, a smelt net under an overpass is pretty damn sporting even at night. Its a lot of fun but those flying rats can be tougher to catch than most guys think.
