Early goose season is fast arriving and I'm having a hard time locating any flocks that are moving. All the geese that i've found are just walking from the roost to the fields. Or relaxing all day on golf courses. Is this normal for res geese here in WV? And if so whats the best way to hunt these geese. Its not as fun shooting geese walking as cupped and committed over dekes.

We have been seeing them mover pretty good around here, early until about 10, then again from 2 until legal. Just find you a river or lake, toss out the decoys and you should do fine.

Yeah I've seen some on the river moving alittle. The ones in the fields that I have located are just walking from near by farm ponds. It will be like calling a turkey in. Well 2 more days boys. Who else is staring to get alittle excited?

Had a thunderstorm blow in at like 9. So we picked up and got to the car and a pair landed right where we were set up. Couldn't go home empty handed so we jumped them and managed to get one down. So it was a good day. Lots of ducks around so thats nice to see. Hopefully the weekend goes well for everyone!

Just doves the last two days, geese did not want to work, 9 yesterday and 15 today. Did see a lot of goose movement in the afternoon, maybe time to change up.

9 birds saturday, one shy of a limit. The geese were stacked up on the river. Floating isn't my favorite way to hunt, but when its resident geese and 90 degrees out it makes for a good afternoon.
Was hoping to get out laborday but it looks like a monsoon out there.

Can't kill them sitting on the couch, we hunted doves in a typhoon, they still flew and much earlier, @ 2:30. Goose hunting in the morning, dubs in the afternoon, good luck and be safe
