Getting together for a hunt

Postby teamoutlaw » Fri Jun 22, 2012 11:51 am

I am now permanently here in ole' Wisconsin. I am living in Cudahy, WI. got enough gear for any type of fowl around this area. Just thought I would go ahead and see who wants to get together this year. I hunted several days of wisconsin season last year.

Yeah I made the big change. I will be driving to KY or taking the train every weekend mid dec to mid february to hunt the weekends back home. so someone could always tag along and do that also with me in return.

Welcome to being a cheese head. You will get your complimentary beer belly in the mail. Then you will truly be a wisconsinite =)

I would love to try new spots, we are going out on the horicon marsh this year. Will be the first time out there without experienced help. I think i know it well enough though now to know where to go. (If it rains and we actually get some water out there...)

I am also thinking about going up to little suamico area to do some green bay hunting the first weekend of the early season.
I blame the hole in the O-zone on sky busters.

Yeah, i was heading up to appleton last weekend and there was wheat coming down all over the place, theres a few tall corn fields around here, but also quite a few that are only shoulder high and several with entire fields where the corn is brown on the edges of the leaves which doesnt look good...any rain we could get in the near future would be good all around. Rivers are looking pretty weak too, a few ponds around here are down farther than ive seen in as long as i can remember. lack of rain hasnt seemed to affect the mosquitoes though, theyre still out in full force in the woods

We still havent gotten anything here in plymouth, but hoping this current stuff doesnt die out before it gets here. Dont want to have to start worrying about our well here getting to low

Scouting has been good. I locked down a new spot that's going to be a hot spot for ducks and geese.

I will drive anywhere war wagon. Anyone is welcome to ride back with me mid or late sept to KY for early wood duck and teal season. usually pretty prime or ride down with me for a weekend hunt in dec/jan.

Just thought I would spread the word.

web- I hunt in racine/kenosha county mainly when im field hunting. but last season I did hunt in two rivers, door county, and sheboygan also. I have a field rig and a water rig for any kind of waterfowl you want to go after.

John- not this weekend (going to reelfoot tn for blind drawing) but the next weekend I am for sure going to go out and do some scouting and try to lock in permission on some new fields.
