I’m in Pewaukee. Found some new to me areas around us I want to try this year and if I can get my jon in them (pending water levels) I’d be happy to take you. Otherwise I plan on hunting from my kayak. If you’ve got a yak you’re more than welcome to tag along with me.

I have a Pelican Castaway 116:

(http://www.gandermountain.com/modperl/p ... rchID=4006)

It works good being a sit-on-top so that I can just slide off and on to mess with dekes or whatever. There isn't a ton of storage, but I can get a few decoys, my blind bag and gun all on it. Plus in summer I can use it for fishing. It's not the best one out there, but works good for my needs. It's nice to use in all the places where I can't use my 14' jon. I think I picked it up for only about $300 at Gander a couple of years ago during a father's day sale.

I'll probably be using it a lot more this year. I moved to Pewaukee last year and I'm not able to keep my boat at my apartment, but I was able to fit the yak in the garage. So at least I'm able to throw it on the truck and hit a couple local rivers/ponds with it. Plus with the low water levels this year it might be my only option in some spots!

Any of you want to hunt with an old man and a goofy black dog, let me know.

My only spots are for puddle ducks though.
I hunt some marshy sides of lakes in the Kettle Moraine.
We usually get some Teal, a few mallards and lots of Woodies!

Nothing goofy about that dog, he's a lean mean hunting machine. How's the king doing these days, is he back in fighting shape?

The "King" is back!
He is running full speed.

I ran him at WATKC jamboree this past Sat.
He ran the double w/blind and sat to flush on 2 hen pheasants.

That was fun!

Yes, he got his UH and HR this year.
Training (especially with clubs) is on hold for this year.
It's time to hunt!!

Some of these clubs have more drama than a Sunday night women's bowling league!!! :hi:

Ya I ain't ran my golden since 2 years ago. I got his senior title and my business started soaking up all my time. It sounds like he's made improvements since I saw him at our training a few years back at Kyle's place.

I see Kyle fairly often, trained with him a couple of weeks ago.

Yes, we figured out how to control all of that anxiety.
He has turned into a pretty nice dog.

I'm glad your biz is good.
Mine is not so good........
