Hello Wisconsin guys!
Question for you: Can I breast a Goose in the field; if I keep the carcass with identifying markers attached?

Here's the info from the regs:

Transportation: After validating your permit, if required,
migratory game birds may be field dressed before they
are transported from the field. However, the head or one
fully feathered wing must remain attached to all migratory
game birds while in the field and while being transported
(1) from the field to the person’s permanent residence and
(2) between a hunting cabin, camp, motel, or other temporary
residence to the permanent residence.

bring a large cooler, filled with ice, darker in color or spray paint it, then dig a shallow hold in the ground, put the cooler in, and cover it with brush. then throw your birds in there after they're shot. keeps them cool and fresh then you can just grab the cooler, take it home and dress them out when you get home. just another option.
