Hunted Sunday morning SE wisconsin with a buddy. Saw plenty of birds and bagged three. One BWT one woodie and my first shoveler. Easily could have had quite a few more but some sky busters ruined some of our opportunities. Still a successful hunt in my book

Saturday, I hunted by myself on a local marsh in southeast wi. Spread consisted of one mojo, about a dozen mallards with 3 of them on a jerk rig, and a couple teal. Not much flying for the first half of the day and what was flying was overcalled to by other hunters and also skyblasted by some. Most of them left by noon and at 3 the birds started showing up. Shot a couple bwt right away and then mallards started pooring in! I had at one time 2 different groups of 30 birds or more working in to the spread. Pretty awesome as i have only been duck hunting a couple years and never seen this this early in the season. I only took one shot and dropped one since it was tough to pick out the drakes. Another group came along and i ended up with 2 drake mallards, 2bwt, and 1 gwt. One of my best openers! Still amazed by all the mallards.

Three guys, SE Wisconsin marsh, 3 Mojo Ducks, really no water to float decoys, great time. Sat 2 mallards, 1 woodduck, 1 pintail, 1 gadwall, 13 teal. Done hunting by 10:00. Sunday after the fog cleared 4 teal, 7 mallards, 1 gadwall, 1 woodduck. Lots of ducks flying and a great duck fry during the packer game.

Went out this afternoon after work in SE Wisconsin. Saw nothing for the first hour and a half. Last half hour of shooting light had 3 separate groups of teal come through. Unfortunately low water has turned the lake into what is essentially an 80 acre swamp so they dropped in the dead middle of the lake... about 300 - 400 yds away...

Went out this morning to a marsh. Set out teal, mallards, and a 4-pack of geese. Right at opening I had teal buzzing all around. Should of had my limit in 15 minutes however I couldn't see them little bastards in time haha. A few ducks decoyed pretty well. Others not so much. There didn't seem to be many ducks, not many flocks at all. Singles or groups of 2-3. That being said, I was in a great spot where the few wanted to be and ended with a mixed bag of BW teal, wigeon, woodies, and a shoveler.

Went out to a field that I saw about a dozen geese land in the morning before and ended up getting 2 this morning. Should have had a couple mallards but I was an idiot and tried to pull in the entire flock instead of taking what was given to me. They left without me ever shooting at them. All in all was a good hunt in my opinion. Saw a lot of high flying ducks and a lot of geese flying around.

My spread consisted of 3 mojos, about a dozen and a half of mallard decoys and another dozen and a half of goose decoys. I placed my goose decoys in 2 seperate clumps and placed the decoys really tigh together. No one else seemed to be doing this in my area and it actually looked pretty realistic to me and the geese thought the same thing I guess.

Solo hunt on a lake in SE WI this morning. Was running 8 mallard dekes and 8 teal dekes. Pretty slow day overall, had a group of teal buzz my spread right at shooting time and never got a shot off. About a half hour later I got a chance on a small group of woodies and picked one drake from the bunch. Had a small group of geese go through but didn't bother with them today. Stayed out till 9:30 and didn't see any other birds.

Made it out this morning with some buddies. Managed 4 bwt, 1 gwt, and 5 wigeon. Not as many birds flying as we would have hoped, but we were on the shots this morning!
