Hi 14 so next year me and my buddy who is 15 want to start duck hunting by ourselves close to home. He will be able to drive next year so were ok there. We found like 4 ponds on farms on google earth and looked them up in an atlas and they look out of municipal boundaries, so are they ok to hunt? Also how to we figure out who owns the land and who to ask permission to hunt. After this how would you know if the spot is good for duck hunting. I relize you have to scout often, but are there any signs that show that the pond would be good?
Thanks for all the help.
