I thought it might just be because the packers were struggling early, not more than the vikes, but our expectations start off lower.

You what's funny is I'm a local and I get some of the local guys who do the same crap out of towners do. Most times When i have a problem it's local guys who think they own the marsh. Nobody asks for GPS coordinates to your honey hole they just wanna know if thiers birds around.

Yea pool 9 , its really good, I ve never had a problem with it. I love reading arguments like this about it. If they doubled the amount of hunters it wouldn't matter, you can always find room and ducks on pool 9. Or pool 8? or even pool 7, and the other pools. The Mississippi river is pretty big i heard, lets try and keep it a secret?

Yea, you can always find a spot. Just go out at shooting time and find someone already set up and just pull in a 100 yards down wind.

i prefer 50 yrds so they can do the calling and I just hold my gun

If you set up down river and downwind it works best. If any squeak by ya and they hit em you can swipe em up when they float by.

Guy on another site said pool 9 has been horrible this year. I guess you write enough articles in DU, etc and have the masses show up the birds figure our where not to go.
