Postby take EM' close » Tue Oct 03, 2006 9:59 pm

Well finally my opener came (Saturday) and I managed my limit on geese and 2 bonus mallys. Sunday I managed 4 geese in the morning and 1 that night. Then Monday I managed 1 goose in the morning and 5 ducks in the afternoon.

I really like my new blind. The Kakhi color is PERFECT for around here.

End for opener (Saturday):

I didn't get pictures of the other few geese being I didn't have my camera. Here are the teal from Monday night!

Nice spread!! It looks like you're getting it figured out.

Sorry I never made it up there to hunt with you last year. Things got pretty hectic and then I left Laramie.

Good luck with the rest of your season! :salude:

Thanks guys.

No I haven't seen much of a push. I've been seeing more mature mallards around but nowhere near what we see in December. It's been freezing the last couple nights but it is usually thawed by about 10 a.m.. It's supposed to warm up next week also. Hopefully it stays cold soon....sounds like Nodak is getting some weather. They're definitley on their way!

Just wondering how your season is going I couldn't make it out for a few weeks and we had some cold snaps. wondering if theres any new birds around. I hope I didn't miss any of the big push.
I'll be going out this weekend for the third time this season. Had some good luck with geese the last time out. Bought me a new call and It seems to work very well. Now I need to get the greenheads in the decoys. Can't wait

Good luck. We haven't had any luck with geese but we sure been puttin' the greenies down. Waiting for all the geese to move off a HUGE unhuntable lake. Can't seem to find them in fields either....I'm hoping that changes here soon!

Well with this cold front looks like the game is over on the big water. Now I'll have to try the creeks that stay open year round.
