It depends on what part of the state you are in. Where are you going to school, UW? or one of the two year colleges? The Cheyenne/Wheatland area (Southeast) has the best waterfowl hunting IMHO, but other parts have great hunting also.

Pheasants are more of a sideline unless you are near one of the areas that the game and fish department plant. Springer, Glendo, Yellowtail and a few around Sheridan. There is plenty of sharptail grouse hunting in the east and southeast, plenty of chuckar in the more deserty areas. The Blakchills have a good popluation of blues and ruffs and an outstanding population of turkeys. There is pretty good waterfowl along the Platte river and the reservoirs in central and eastern sections. And a lot of pothole shooting in the Thunder basin Grasslands in northeastern part (up by the Blackhills).

Maybe some of the folks from other parts of the state can fill in some of my blanks.
I believe in a limit of two terms for every politician. . .one in office, one in jail.

Grew up in Gillette, and in my opinion the best hunting in wyoming is for big game. Tons of antelope, mule and whitetail deer, great elk in parts of the state. Turkey is also very good in parts of the state.
