except for where i live the hunting is horrible no birds here & tons of hunting pressure ....

but seriously throw a dart at a Sask map and it will be a good place to hunt without too much pressure unless you are trying to hunt close to a big city . Just keep in mind a good chunk of the eastern part of the province was too wet to get all the seeding done this year so there is less grain fields for the birds to stop off in .

It must be good enough if there is a lodge there. The thing you should be worried about are if there are crops and what condition they are in. Here's a couple sites to help you out.

Are they still open??

I know that a couple of years ago, they were busted for many many game violations. Reason I know that, there were 4 guys from here in NC that took the brunt of the bust. They ( prominent lawyer, politician and son, big businessman) had booked the last week of the season. Their first trip there.....had friends that had been there earlier. Boarded a plane in Greensboro and were joined by a couple of other hunters from Tennessee heading to the same place, coincedentally, while connecting in Minneapolis. Couple of great guys. Shared a drink at the airport bar.

Had a great week hunting, killing, drinking, eating and being entertained. They really "put on the dog for them!" Week was up and were returned to Saskatoon. As they were ready to proceed to the boarding area for the return flight, they were promptly handcuffed, arrested and carried to jail by the SERM Wildlife Officers and the RCMP. The other two guys from Tennessee weren't at the airport because they were waiting at the jailhouse in their Tennessee Game Warden uniforms. STING!!!!!! Seems that SERM had reports all season that the lodge was allowing over the limits, after/before hours shooting, drinking while hunting, shooting of Ravens, magpies, coyotes, and just about anything!!

The NC guys had to post a $100 thousand appearance bond and returned about 6 months later and plea bargained their way to only a $28,000 fine, never to return to Saskatchewan again.

Made big news here in NC
