Ontario non resident hunter safety ?

I'm going to Ontario soon. Do I need any hunter safety courses? I'm from the US.

My understanding (I live in Ontario) is that a non-resident does not need to undergo the Ontario Hunter Education Course if they have a hunting license from a (this is the MNR's words) "comptent jurisdiction". I think any US state license is considered "competent".

Here's the link to the MNR page, there is a number to call for the non-resident at the bottom of the page, best to phone them and confirm to avoid disappointment.
