Looking for a little help. 3 or 4 of us will be heading up to Southern Alberta the 3rd week of October this coming fall. We will be new to this area and was hoping that maybe some of you could give some advice on the areas to waterfowl hunt in the Southern part of the province. We will be there for a week and would also appreciate ideas on where to stay that won't break the bank. Any help or suggestions for our trip would be appreciated.

The 3rd week of Oct. should be the right time. For corn fields and having a big lake nearby, I hear rumbling of the big town of Taber and surrounding areas another good be would be the Brooks area. The centers all have good accommodations but might be a bit pricey, then again you could pick some little village with a bar hotel/dive or get some rooming houses with a common kitchen in the bigger centers. Both areas are in the same flyway.
