we fly into detroit; rent a car ; drive to algonak; cross into wallaceburg, ontario; stay at oaks inn 519-627-1433; they provide ontario license, waterfowl stamp and walpole island permit(indian reservation ) about $135; oaks inn has a list of guides; register your gun with us customs before entry; us customs generally are jerks; canadian customs are nice guys; hunt lake st. claire marshes, etc; water levels very low this year; depending on weather; migrators arrive end of oct., first of nov.; but lots of local ducks. good luck.

I hear that the better guides on walpole island have all the golden ponds, you know the ones full of corn! I would be aware that this is not legal even on reservation ground and shooting the guides ducks, still not legal. I know a guy that got pinched for this and he didn't even know he was doing it, he still can't go back to Canada.
