Waterfowl hunting across Canada; from the sounds of New Foundland to the lakes of Ontario to the vast fields and potholes of the plains to the high artic and the sea duck hunting of the Pacific. Includes Quebec duck hunting, Ontario duck hunting, Manitoba duck hunting, Saskatchewan duck hunting, Alberta duck hunting & all other provinces indluding goose hunting info as well.
We will be hunting with a outfitter about a hour south of saskatoon. Just curious if anyone has hunted this area in late September and what should we expect such as weather, duck and goose population at that time, will any of the ducks have there colors by this time. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

The mosquitoes will be in full bloom in numbers. First year ducks will not be in full plumage yet with some lime green. Your outfitter should answer it the best as it is a good area if it is close to Lake Diefenbaker. Snows and lessors will be abundant with resident canadas and ducks. Some migratory birds will be trickling down. You will have mild seasonlly weather but you might need some rain gear. and a light insulated jacket just in case of some frosty mornings. Fields should be over 50% harvsted with peas done already.
