I started duck hunting 2 years ago and I have hunted on Grassy Island and in Wickem on the Saint John River. Grassy was cool because you could get blue bills, whistlers, blacks and mallards. I wanted to go up into The Mistake but I did not get back to do that.

Yes...Ian does some really nice work. I've actually seen even better then what he has displayed on his website.
Now....most of what Ian does, is gunners....and a few mantle pieces......but these rank right up there as super duper gunners.
He has helped me out...but unfortunately, I don't carve anymore. Someday perhaps.

The Mistake starts in Greenwich and ends up just this side of the Evandale ferry. We were seeing rafts of anywhere from 50 to 200 blue bills.

I am going up Saturday morning and picking up some stuff for my son and then heading back home. As for whacking ducks I am always up for that. My buddy has hunted Grassy Island for 25+ years but the blue bills fly up way past that so if you set up off of the Mistake or in the Mistake you should get some good shooting.

Point Aux Carr. It's about 13 miles east of Miramachi City. Go to google maps and bring up that area.
Alot of hunters use the area.....because it's so accessable.
Drive upto the beach...walk a few feet to get the blind and seats, hidden in the bushes.....set up the blind according to the tide....set decoys and yer hunting.....all within 15 minutes of my place, when I lived in Napan.
