Manitoba help

Postby LUV2DUChunt » Tue Sep 02, 2008 7:41 pm

I am coming to Dauphin Lake area at the end of the month, but can't get into our hotel in ST. Rose for the first 2 days. My question is does anybody have a recommendation on some where south of that area we should try? This is our first trip to Manitoba or anywhere in Canada hunting for that matter.

Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Jason

This might be a dumb question but did you try somewhere in Dauphin?
Check out this link. It's the Travel Manitoba website. http://www.travelmanitoba.com/
Click on "accomodations", then Hotels and Motels, then search the Parkland Region. It'll give you a list of possibles.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!!

Thanks for the help! I will look into that, but we had heard that south of there was good to hunt.

You hunt around Dauphin?

No, for birds I'm in the Interlake.
There is good shooting all around there though.

We aren't bringing either of our boats so I don't think we will be doing to much of the lake, but we are bringing a canoe and a twelve foot flat bottom with us! Does that sound like a good thing to do?

There is a hotel in McCreary which is only 30kms south of Ste.Rose where you might be able to get a room for a couple nights.
