Saskatchewan- How late?

Postby harryhyde » Wed Oct 15, 2008 3:44 pm

I am going to be in Prince Albert in Nov or Dec depending on when my wifes passport gets fixed.

Is there any waterfowl hunting that late?

Maybe only upland birds by then.

If someone knows about any kind of bird hunting, I'll take it.

Thanks, HH

Usually by Remembrance Day Nov11 all the ponds have frozen up and the geese bunch up in big water to stop the freeze. you might get some big water or river geese.
Also some oil companies have some holding ponds which are unfrozen..seek permission for access if it is safe to do so.
Upland game is usually good at that time

Thanks 1100. Looks like I will be there November 16 thru 26.

I suppose most of the guides have quit duck hunting and are chasing deer by then?

Do you know of one around Prince Albert you could recommend?
