This 4 day hunt was during cold wet rain/sleet windy conditions in pea and barley fields with short stubble that wouldn't stay in the stubble straps and impassable muddy side roads all at the peak of the migration.... very few big Canadas and some cranes had left already.. lots of ducks couldn't get to the ponds even with the 4x4...suffered a jammed Rem1100 and had to use old faithfull Rem 870. One of my better hunts in the last 4 years.
Good part was the birds were spread out and everybody had opps to shoot fields..gas prices lowered and motels full of Americans. some wheres in East Central Sask.
