How do I find out if I can hunt a spot or not. This is nothing compared where I usually hunt. I went to my spot yesterday, and there was around 500 ducks and 70 geese. And I went hunting today and saw 12 ducks that's it.

You can hunt on any public land with a federal stamp. If you want to hunt on someone else's land, you need written permission, license, federal, state stamps and a HIP number.

Well most public hunting lands have signs, and they also are listed on the DNR website. If its not listed, chances are that its not public. There is a printout of the paperwork needed to be filled out needed to hunt on private property. If its worth anything, I've noticed that the ducks have been educated and are likely to be harvested on private land.

Here ya go... http://beacon.schneidercorp.com/?Site=HuntingtonCountyIN You can change the county and then click on view map or whatever. Play around with it and you'll get the hang of it. Great website for looking up property owners and information. Hope that helps.
