Just break down and buy a Beretta Xtrema 2 with the kick off.... Well worth the money!

Just buy an 870 Super Mag. Best gun I have ever owned. I've beat it up pretty good over the years in the marsh and she still fires true every time.

Why do you think the supernova would be best?

Buy the best fitting gun you can afford. If I was getting into anything I would look for a used gun. If things don't work out you can usually sell it for what you bought it. Not so if you buy a new gun.

Whatever you buy make sure it shoots 3.5 inch. You'll soon learn ducks can get hard to hunt in Indiana and end up having to hunt geese cause there isn't any ducks around, and will need then extra muscle for hookers. Good luck

I would second the vote for the Remington 12 gauge 870 Super Magnum. I have cycled countless rounds through it with out failure. I would also by an older made super magnum, better made. However, If I was a gas gun guy I would look into the Winchester SX3. I have a buddy that shoots this gun and it is a great water fowling gun.
