Hey guys, my names Marc I'm new to the waterfowl scene. I figured I would give waterfowl a try. I'm 27 until late Nov. I've hunted four legged critters for years and as of last year I got into dove hunting and it turns out I'm pretty decent at it, so I want to try my hand at waterfowl. I'm 20 minutes west of New Castle and 15 minutes east of Greenfield, not much good land this far east of Indy. I found this site thanks to google and from doing some reading it looks like there is some good info on here. I can't wait for early goose, but I don't know when the new fed stamp will be available. Every post office I go to gives me the same answer, they look at me dumbfounded and walk in the back and come back shaking their head and saying "I don't know when we will get them". The shotgun I'm using is a Charles daily 3" it's cheap but it works perfectly for me. I would ask if there are any guys willing to break in a newbie but I know spots are hard to come by and I don't want to impose or make anyone feel obligated to reveal their spot to a new guy. I'm in the process of finding some places out here but the hard part is finding out who actually owns the land. I'm not some idiot that will try to shoot a duck or goose at 150yds. That's about it for my rambling introduction and no I'm not getting into waterfowl because of that show on A&E but yes I do have their triple threat call (start the hazing), along with a Buck Gardner single reed that likes to stick when doing a hail call.
