dont really know that area myself but i would say your best bet would be to drive around and make friends with some farmers. cattle farmers usually hate geese. lakes with dnr launches are free to hunting. Pick up a IN gazetter it has alot of good info. Ive heard that the salamonie lake area is prety good late in the season.Good luck. :salude:

Does Indiana have a state refuge system? Or is it all private land?

My wife is from Lafayette and we go back during Christmas. Thought it would be nice to try a little duck hunting while I'm out there.

Thanks for any info you may have!

Yes, there is alot of public land to hunt. U can hunt any water that has a public boat launch. The rivers in Lafayette area should be good in late Dec. The Wabash is a good one to try.
