Duck Hunting in INDY

Postby widgeonhead3 » Thu Aug 19, 2004 6:56 pm

Hey Yall, I am from Southeast Missouri where we do get a few good days of hunting. My brother-in-law lives in Nobblesville,IN and he is very new to our wonderful sport. Do any of yall know of any spots that are around Indy or remotely close by to kill a few birds? I would greatly appreciate any info yall can give out. :salude:

Tell him to get an Indiana Gazetteer and drive around and make friends with some farmers. There is a big reservoir (Morse) NW of him and the rivers may be good late in the season. Best thing would be to get on the corn feilds.

Good luck, maybe someone closer can be of more help.
leave it better than you found it!!!

I agree with Hoosier, get permission to get on a corn field. There are plenty of ducks and geese in the subdivisions that feed in the nearby cornfields.
Early in the year Camp Atterbury isn't too bad just south of Indy.
Also, try
I don't know much about White River but it would be worth checking out simply out of convenience for him.
