Massive CRP cuts may be in store for the sportsmen

Postby pointimgdogs » Thu Nov 03, 2005 8:05 pm

A Minnesotan who hunts and fishes wants to know why ? Why do you want to cut our CRP funding? THAT DOES MEAN WE WILL HAVE LESS BIRDS TO SHOOT AT!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because it affects us all as sportsmen. Birds on the ground, birds in the air. WHERE ELSE WOULD I POST IT?

What is the difference between a girl from New Zealand and a catfish? One is a slimey thing with whiskers and the other is a fish.

Nesting cover on the ground equals birds in the air.

Point, could you please post up a section of this farm bill you are talking about? Because all I have learned from this is that New Zealand women are like catfish. I would like to hear more, but we need more than one sentence at a time. Or at least post up a link to the subject you are speaking of.

CRP

Postby pointimgdogs » Fri Nov 04, 2005 6:44 am

Go to the Ducks Unlimited website and click on the article “Farmers and Water Fowlers Join Forces to Support Farm Bill. This articles will explain the importance of the farm bill and CRP to sportsmen , farmers and ranchers.

Congress is considering a $3Billion in cuts in agriculture programs over five years. This is not good for
hunters!

I don't know about that catfish comment. There were some very sweet looking girls in NZ and friendly too. It was one of my favorite places to go TDY.

CRP

Did they speak in tongues? Just a little joke nothing more nothing less; an attention getter. BUT the loss of CRP is no joke.

Even though Pointingdogs is a bit rough around the edges in his presentation--he is none the less right on the mark with his concern in that it will effect all us hunters. The Feds are cutting many budgets in many departments because of the war and the hurricanes relief efforts. The problem is the there is a very large difference in the % being taken out of the Farm Bill when compared to other Agencies. and most is from the CRP type of Federal programs. Pheasants Forever, Delta water and DU are very upset about it.

Guys this is indeed serious. Please contact your 2 members of the senate and 1 member of Cpongress where you live about this and tell them the % of cuts should be the smae across the board for all depts/agencies. In the subject line, mention you are a constituant (voter in thier district) of theirs.

Here you can look up them up in the links.
