are shovelers teal?

i heard from someone that shovelers are part of the teal family. is this true?

Pretty much all ducks are in the same Family (Anatidae) and even the same Genus (Anas).
Hence the reason for all the hybridization!

they do have pretty much the same wing patches as bluewings.

Yes Blue Wing, Cinnamon, and Shovelers all come from the same family.......
