Ducks and Global Warming

Postby huntinggreen » Tue Nov 28, 2006 7:29 am

I’m sure you all know about - and have your own opinions about - global warming. But do you know the effects global warming could have (and some cases is already having) on duck populations?

From the drying up of the prairie potholes to warming winters and longer summers changing migration patterns, ducks are affected by global warming more than any other game species.

It’s officially ‘Duck Season’ at www.targetglobalwarming.org, the website “where hunters and anglers change the forecast for wildlife.”

Find out more and test your knowledge of ducks (while entering to win a free “Outdoor Adventure” from Cabela’s). Take the quiz at http://www.targetglobalwarming.org.
