hen houses

Postby drake23 » Sat Jan 13, 2007 5:29 pm

i was at my local hunting spot today to fix up some old wood ducks houses and pick up any garbage and i noticed a wood box but not like a wood duck house it is a regular rectangle box with one side completely open and it had the long side horizontal (oposite way than how the wood duck houses are) and it was on a dead fallen over tree on the edge of the water. Is this a hen house?? i have seen those wire mesh ones before but not like this one. I was thinking about building a few more of theese if they are any good??

 :help:

That would be a 1st to me if they were building them from wood. Maybe it is a old wood duck box that went sideway?

Post a pic of it.

i'd say it was a hen house, made by someone other than that of local conservation grps, or the govt
