Duck habitat ponds??

Postby Deano » Thu Jun 07, 2007 10:01 pm

A friend of mine has 5 ponds on property in east central oklahoma that he's invited me to come and check out for improving the duck habitat.
I'm not sure of the layout of the ponds but any suggestions or know anybody who can give me some helpful information?

Thanks

Definitely determine the predominant wind during the time of hunting season. Shelter and food!

One more, determine if the property is near good food supplies and maybe your buddies property can provide water for the passers and large trees for shelter. Do they freeze and when? I dont know of any specific contacts around there and how much you really want to spend and invest but get in touch with maybe a water quality corp. and plant the best duck food from what kind of water you have. I hope that helps a little.
