Feeding baby mallard ducks

Postby amanda18* » Sat May 15, 2004 2:04 pm

I was wondering what all you could feed baby mallard ducks with? I've been giving them lettuce, collards, and chicken feed. But I don't know what else to give them. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Your local feed stores carry a game bird feed, which is much like chicken feed but higher in protein. Thats the healthiest choice.

If these are Ducklings, Purina has out a Duck Starter mash that is for Ducklings, Don't matter if they are Wild Style or Tame Ducks.

After about 3-4 weeks switch to purina's Duck Grower and add in the lettuce, Corn, Popcorn, wheat, Millet, Milo, Cracked Corn, Sunflower seeds, Peanuts.
Mix it together and feed it to them!

Looks like there was aLOT of Ducklings Sold for Easter, from the posts on the site.

Is this were your's came from?
